    Though many ingredients used in beauty products are safe, many of them pose serious potential problems to our health.

    As a health-conscious consumer, how does one learn to navigate the ‘dirty list’ of skincare ingredients? How might user-centered digital design empower beauty consumers to make more informed decisions about their products?

    The Safe Beauty Process

    A book designed and written to explain the current state of green and blue washing within the beauty industry. This book explores the problems we face with mass consumerism, ingredient transparency, and the unknown health risks hidden in many skincare and cosmetic formulations.

    The Safe Beauty App was created as a potential solution to the lack of consumer transparency. Explore the UX/UI thought process and design decisions behind the prototype. We could create a healthier future together.
